The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bundi is located at Sheopuria Bavadi on Nainwa about 8 KM from Bundi bus stand. It was Established in 1992. Bundi district comprises of five Panchayat Samitees namely K. Patan, Nainwa, Talera, Hindoli and Bundi . The most distinguish feature of the region is double line of hills running through the district in the north east and south west direction varying in altitude. Chambal is the perennial river of the region having Mangli, Ghora Pacchar, Mej and Talera river as its distributaries. Bundi is known as Chhoti Kashi because of numerous holy places and famous for its prominent role in evolution of early Rajasthan paintings.

Total geographic area of district is 5550 sq. km. Geographically it is situated between 24.10 to 25.11o N latitude and 75.190 to 76.19o east longitude which falls under humid south eastern plain Zone V with average rainfall 764 mm. Soybean, paddy, maize, sorghum, black gram and green gram are the main Kharif crops whereas wheat, mustard, barley and gram are the major Rabi crops of the district. The soils of the district are clay to clay loam in texture. Among fruit trees guava, lemon, papaya are the major fruit trees which are widely grown in entire district.

Humid South Eastern Plain Zone V

The KVK comes under the zone V (Humid South Eastern Plain) of Rajasthan which covers a geographical area of about 2.7m. ha spread over Jhalawar, Kota, Bundi, Baran & part of Sawai Madhopur districts, out of which about 1.8m. ha is under cultivation. The percentage of irrigated area is only 25.5 and remaining comes under rain fed & dry land condition. The rain fall varies from 650mm to 1000mm. The max. mean daily temperature ranges from 24.5oC in the month of January & 42.6 oC in May & minimum 10oC in
January & 19.7oC in month of May.
The predominant soils of the zone has black soils of alluvial origin with clay loam to clay in texture in which some pockets are affected and encountered by ground water salinity.

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra celebrate and conduct awareness programme on International Yoga day (21st June), World food day (16th October), World soil day celebration (5th December) during each year. Also conduct two preseasonal training programme, SAC meeting and other awareness programme for farmers, Farm women and Rural youth during every year.
